Try Thai – Authentic Thai Cuisine – China Town MCR

Try Thai – Food Review

Try Thai is a mouthwatering, palette pleasing Thai Food bar located in the heart of Manchester’s China town. The atmosphere of the place, even before entering is stunning. Situated on the first floor, Try Thai offers an eclectic range of Authentic Thai Cuisine. Upon arrival, we were seen to and seated by a friendly waitress called ‘Apple’, who made sure our dining experience at Try Thai was nothing but 5 stars.

Our appetizer consisted of Prawn Crackers & Starter consisted of Crispy Chili Beef. I’ve never had prawn crackers like the ones at Try Thai. They weren’t anything like the ones you get from a Chinese takeaway. They were a lot denser in consistency and were a nice change to the usual ones we were used to. They came with a sweet chili dip.

The Crispy chili Beef was a nice light starter that got the appetite built up and ready for the mains. Not too chewy in consistency and had a mix of sweetness with a bit of a spicy kick.

For the Mains we ordered The classic Thai Green Curry, Ka Pow, Battered King Prawns in Penang Sauce, Chicken Satay along with Jasmin Rice & Egg fried rice.

The Ka Pow was a hot dish with an amazing blend of spices giving it a rich source packed full of flavour. The dish tasted delicious accompanied with the Jasmine Rice. The Chicken Satay was an extension of our starter and accompanied the meal really well. Different to the Chinese Satay Chicken and was larger in portions. The Battered King Prawns were gigantic portions and the Penang source was really flavorsome. After tasting this dish, it became our personal favorite. The classic Thai Green curry was what we was expecting. The only reservation we had was that the portion sizes could be a bit better for this dish.

We washed everything down with Thai Beer and had a great evening. Try Thai scores an overall 9/10 and gets 5***** in recommendation from us.

Best to book in advance to avoid disappointment.
